Arriving
Nikki Hicks Hair operates out of Vetiver Collective in Oakland. The easiest way to enter, is through the back door. You can get there by walking up the driveway at the 3818 Redding. You walk into the parking lot and look for the wooden gate that has a V on it. We are the first door on the first level. Please don't park in the parking lot, it's reserved for tenants only.
Alternately, you can enter through the front door at 3841 MacArthur Blvd. If the door is locked, text or call me at (707)616 - 5104.
If I am finishing up with another client, you are welcome to get a cold drink out of the fridge or help yourself to tea. The patio has seating and is a great place to unwind. Snacks are provided at the station.
The Consultation
I know coming to a new stylist can be intimidating. That's why I try to let you know what to expect and work hard to put you at ease. Each appointment includes a consultation where I will get to know you and your hair. We will then co-create a look that fits your lifestyle. Topics that help me get to know you include what has and has not worked for you with past hair appointments. You can bring me pics of any hair styles or looks you would love as well as any looks that you never want to see anywhere near you. Let me know if you want a quote before we get started.
While you are in my chair, I want you to feel free to use your time in a way that works for you. I welcome you to scroll your phone, read, catch up on work, or discuss the latest drama in your life or the world. I'm game for all of it.
I have a tiny lending library with books for you to borrow. Feel free to bring to donate.
After Goodbye
I will be sending you a follow up email a few days after your appointment to check in to see how you are liking your hair and see if you have any questions.
